Sweet. I think Foster seems like a good choice. We are stocked with Ready to go Defensive D men with Coburn, Grossman, Schenn, & Lilja. We don't needs someone to put the clamps on the opposing team as much as we could use someone with a big point shot, and a righty at that, to take the pressure off of Kimmo and give Meszaros some more recoup time.
I'm stoked about Boosh being back. I've always liked him, probably a lot more than Leighton. And I think having him back in the system definitely makes me more comfortable with Leighton as our backup. Because Leighton himself wasn't the uncomfortable issue as much as the next guy on the list was Hoiven or Heeter who are not ready (though I think Heeter will be in a few years.) So welcome back Brian!

Good post. That's really the whole point. Heeter and Hoivenen aren't ready.

If you need to "eat your pride" over a guy who will be the AHL starter, then I'm not really sure you're seeing the point.

The Hurricanes wanted to dump Boucher's salary. Justin Peters surpassed him as back up, and they could sign Dan Ellis to be their insurance policy under the cap threshold and save a few bucks.

So they took a guy who has not developed much over the last few years in Luke Pither and sent the Flyers a solid vet goalie who can be recalled in case of emergency(Scott Munroe can't be recalled, as he's not on a NHL deal), plus a kid who is a pretty decent prospect
